How To Check The Laser Head And Processing Maintenance Job

During the use of laser cleaning equipment, if the parameters and products are the same, but the output laser power becomes weaker and the cleaning effect decreases, you need to check according to the following steps:
  1. After discovering this problem, immediately stop the output of the laser and turn off the power of the machine.
 
  1. Check whether the protective lens of the laser head is damaged or whether there is dirt attached to the surface of the protective lens. Because the dust, smoke and other dirt attached to the surface of the protective lens will absorb the laser energy, which will cause the local temperature of the pollution to rise, and then cause the protective lens to melt or crack.
If there are pollutants, please wipe them clean with alcohol wipes or replace them with new protective lenses.   Notice: The protective lens is the first barrier for the laser head to prevent external dust and pollutants from entering the laser head. It is also a vulnerable part of the equipment. Daily maintenance can prolong the service life of the protective lens.  
  1. If the protective lens is not damaged or contaminated, you need to check whether the focus lens upon the protective lens is damaged (cracks, dead pixels, melting, etc.).
The focus lens focuses the laser light generated by the laser generator together to realize rapid processing of products (cleaning, welding and cutting, etc.). The focus lens is also the main component that determines the effective processing range of the equipment. At the same time, the focus lens is also a protective barrier for the internal reflection mirror of the laser head. If there are pollutants, please wipe them clean with alcohol wipes or replace them with new protective lenses.  
  1. Finally, check whether the reflective mirror inside the laser head is damaged or dirty, and whether the motor of the reflective mirror is working normally.
The reflective mirror reflects the laser light generated by the laser generator at the first time, and at the same time, the equipment software controls the swing speed and range of the motor to act on the laser beam within a certain working range on the surface of the product. If the reflective mirror inside the laser head is damaged or faulty, it needs to be replaced with a new laser head.   Notice: If the surface of the reflective mirror is dirty, the local temperature of the reflective mirror will be too high, and the laser reflectivity will decrease. If the laser cannot be reflected immediately, it will cause the internal temperature of the laser head to rise, which will lead to abnormal operation of the motor (abnormal swing, excessive swing, stop swing, etc.), and damage to the reflective mirror (cracking, melting, etc.). After confirming that the reflective mirror and the motor are faulty, continuing to emit light may cause damage to the laser generator.      
  1. The laser head of the laser equipment (including the swing motor, reflective mirror, focus lens, protective lens, control panel, protective case, etc.) is a precision component, and it must be well protected during use, dustproof, waterproof, etc. At the same time, it is protected from strong impacts and falls from heights.
 
  1. Finally, safe operation (wear laser protective glasses, operating gloves, etc.), read the product operation manual and precautions in detail before use, familiarize yourself with the functions of each component of the product, and designate operators (non-operators should not use the machine).
